This book is intended to help you enjoy every minute of your time in beautiful Paris. Out of all the city's thousands of hotels, restaurants, museums and shops I have only chosen places that best capture its character and atmosphere. Those, like most of us, with only a few days have no desire to waste time or money on mediocre bistros or anonymous run-of-the-mill hotels on the outskirts of the city. The usual guides always contain too much information and too few photos. Just to read them would fill an entire holiday - and often the reader is none the wiser afterwards as there are hardly any illustrations to help him decide whether something is interesting or tends to leave him cold.
