Galison worked with London's Victoria and Albert Museum to create this beautiful Kimono Classic Journal. The colorful chrysanthemums, camelias, and other flowers illustrated on a rich blue background are from a kimono fabric from a Japanese sample book, c. 1937, in the collection of the V&A. The book's decorative red spine reads "JOURNAL", and a Japanese proverb decorates the endpaper: "Experience the beauties of nature, and in doing so learn about yourself."
